Charlie Hebdo reaches the world, also in print version

Multilingual editions of the French satirical magazine

Today sees the 1178th edition of Charlie Hebdo being distributed in 25 countries across the world. After a marathon week that saw the magazine’s journalists reunite under difficult circumstances, some 3 million copies have been published, a notable increase from the usual 60,000 copies..

During a press conference, editor-in-chief Gérard Biard, explained that the latest version of Charlie Hebdo is available in six languages with French, Turkish and Italian in print version and English, Arab and Spanish are available in digital formats.

Sales proceeds of the magazine are intended to go to the victims’ families.
